When you turn on your computer, you may need to perform a series of regular tasks, like opening a web browser, launching an audio player or logging into an instant messenger. If you are tired of performing the same actions over and over again, you could automate them with ReMouse. It records and plays back your mouse movements, clicks and keystrokes. The best part is that it enables you to automate and schedule any actions, without typing a single line of code.

ReMouse is compatible with all popular Windows versions and it can be installed almost instantly. The setup file is only 1.15 MB, so it should not take long to download the application, even with a less than spectacular Internet connection.

The compact user interface consists of two main options, for recording and playing back your actions. You can perform any task, from simple selections to complex procedures. When you are done, you may click the Stop button, located on the interface, or use a keyboard shortcut for the same effect. If you click the Play button, the application will carry out your recorded actions right away, without prompting you for anything.

ReMouse includes a smart recording feature as well, which works the same way as the standard recorder. While using the smart recorder, the application will "remember" what you click, instead of where. Furthermore, when you play a smart recording, ReMouse will click the same options and icons, regardless of the window's position on the screen.

Besides the main controls, you can find a series of options in the software's top menus. Recordings can be saved as script files, in ReMouse's native format and loaded at a later date. Alternatively, you can run a saved script file, to execute a recorded action, without launching the application. It is possible to set up different playback speeds and to set the software to repeat a recording for a certain number of times, a certain number of hours, minutes and seconds, for a certain time interval or until the user stops the playback.

It is also possible to set ReMouse to play a recording every few hours, minutes or seconds, on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, at a specific time and date or when the operating system starts up. Triggers can be configured as well. Depending on your personal settings, the application will play back your recorded actions, when a specific process starts or stops, when a window becomes active or inactive, when you access a file or folder or when you ping a host.

Pros

You can record and play back any actions on your computer. Due to its smart recording feature, the application will click the same options on a window or interface, even if you move it. ReMouse also allows you to schedule your recorded actions and set up triggers.

Cons

You may experience a few issues regarding the playback speed, if you are using a 64-bit Windows 7 platform. Thanks to ReMouse's smart capabilities, routine and repetitive tasks can be executed automatically, when you turn on your computer or when other events occur.
